Let Freedom Buzz

It’s not quite civil disobedience, but I’m sure Henry David Thoreau would have approved of the recent actions of Alabama sex toy shops. For those not aware, the US Supreme Court refused to hear a case about the sales of sex toys in Alabama and now the state Attorney General intends to start prosecuting people for the right to keep and bear dildos.
There’s a little loophole in the state law which the vibrator vendors are already exploiting:
Attorney General Troy King, who defended the law in court, has asked the judge to lift the injunction against enforcement, which could come at any time. King has notified district attorneys that once the injunction is lifted, they can enforce the law.
But retailers — mostly located in urban areas — see an opening in the law. While the law bans the sale of items intended primarily for sexual stimulation, it makes exceptions if they have a “bona fide medical, scientific, educational, legislative or judicial purpose.”
“They have put this grand loophole in the law,” said Ross Winner, manager for the Love Stuff stores in Montgomery, Hoover and Oxford.
Winner said the Love Stuff stores have had signs about the exceptions for a few years and have required customers to sign receipts saying they are abiding by the law. “The state provides an avenue to do this and it’s legal,” he said.
Williams said she posted signs in her stores Thursday stating that customers could buy products only for the permitted reasons. Customers also were asked to sign a disclaimer that states they were abiding by the law.
I’m sure Alabamians will now become very inventive in their descriptions of medical maladies, because they certainly aren’t going to give up their right to enjoy orgasms. In the meantime, I’ve got a question for you: Of the two NSFW choices pictured below the fold, which is the bigger dildo?

Come on, Steve. You just insulted a perfectly good class of sex toys by comparing them to the Boy King.
