Ron Paul Ad in USA Today
November 21st, 2007 by Steve
Here’s the ad supporting Ron Paul people have been calling me about today. Simply click either half to enlarge. From U.S. News and World Report:
Larry Lepard, a venture capitalist and Ron Paul supporter from Massachusetts, has shelled out about $85,000 of his own money to throw what he told U.S. News is a “small hard rock at a good target”: a full-page ad supporting Paul that will run in tomorrow’s edition of USA Today—the nation’s largest circulation daily newspaper—on the busiest travel day of the year.
As someone who absolutely deplores the McCain-Feingold Act , I love it when I see people exercising their First Amendment rights in this manner.

Did Mr. Lepard break the law? My undestanding of
McCain/Feingold is that he did break the law. I wonder
how long it will take the JBTs to show up at his door.

Don,
That’s an issue which has never been truly resolved in a legal sense. It would be interesting to see a court case on this, or some similar, case.
From a constitutional and moral sense, his action was/should be legal, IMO.
